Here is a little post about what a day in our school is like.
8:20 - I grab a snack for breakfast from the dining hall and then head to my classroom to chill out with my friends in my class and my teacher.
8:50 - Tutor time begins. We do a little bit of exercise - today it's yoga - to wake up our big muscles. After that, we do touch typing to use our little muscles in our hands.
9:10 - Time for maths! We always do maths first in our day. We are currently learning about ordering and comparing numerals up to 10,000,000.
10:00 - It's topic time. This half term we are learning about 'Tomorrow's World'. This is a unit about technology, its past and its future, as well as how it's used every day.
10:50 - Break time! Normally I stay in at break and play on my school laptop. I also go over to the main building to grab a piece of fruit for snack.
11:10 - Because it's Friday, today we have art after break. We're hoping we will be able to use the art room for our art lessons soon so we can use all the fun things like the kiln!
12:00 - Lunchtime! My school has the best lunches, including lasagne, pasta bake, sausage rolls, burritos and more! Fridays are always pick and mix, which means we can choose our lunch from the options our lovely cooks give us.
12:40 - Every day at 12:40 we have a lesson called MMM. This is about Me, Myself, My World. In this session, we learn about things like emotional regulation and non-verbal communication.
13:00 - It's Friday so we have double electives this afternoon! This means we get to choose our activity for the afternoon. I have chosen to join our Dungeons and Dragons club where I get to play as a character - mine's a wizard - and we play through a fantasy story.
14:30 - The end of the school day. We are called over the radio to get into our taxis and go home for the weekend.
